Say "I do" in the Zadar Region – where love stories become timeless.
The Zadar Region is a perfect destination for weddings, not only because of its breathtaking landscapes, crystal-clear sea, and unforgettable sunsets, but also because it is a place where great love stories have left their mark. Two of them are Toreta on the island of Silba The Sphinx of Zadar.

Standing 15 metres high in the heart of the car-free island of Silba, Toreta is one of the region's most romantic landmarks. Built in the 19th century by sailor Petar Marinić, legend says the stone tower was dedicated to his beloved Antonija Mauro as an enduring symbol of their love. Today, known as the Monument of Love, its spiral staircase leads to spectacular panoramic views of the island and the Adriatic Sea, making it a truly unforgettable setting for romance.

Hidden within the gardens of the historic Villa Attilia, the Sphinx of Zadar is one of the largest sphinx sculptures in Europe. Created around 1918 by renowned artist, conservator, and historian Giovanni Smirich, it was built as a touching tribute to his late wife, Attilia. Unlike the ancient Egyptian sphinxes, this unique sculpture has human hands instead of lion's paws and is surrounded by fascinating local legends. It is said that the Sphinx grants wishes of love, attracting couples and romantics hoping for a little magic. Stories of hidden treasure buried beneath the statue only add to its mystery and charm.

Whether you dream of an intimate island ceremony, a historic city celebration, or simply a destination filled with romance, the Zadar Region offers the perfect backdrop for your love story.
