RIGGING
The word rigging refers to all ropes, cables or chains that either support the mast or adjust the position of the sails on a boat.
It is also divided in 2 subcategories:
Standing rigging – ropes, cables that support the mast (stationary)
Running rigging – ropes that are used to adjust the position of sails (moving ropes)
