Since 2003, we have been partnering with FAO’s Caribbean Office to provide training for countries in the Caribbean. In this regard, we have worked in Belize, Grenada, St. Vincent and Suriname. Students from the Eastern Caribbean Institute of Agriculture and Forestry, Trinidad & Tobago have shown an interest in our training centre and would come once they can garner funding. The training done overseas is closely linked to the number of visits of VIPs to our camp (A separate folder with photographs on VIPs to our camp will be sent to you). We have also collaborated with World Wildlife Fund to expose staff of the Surinamese Forest Service (SBB) and indigenous communities in Suriname to visit FTCI’s field Camp.
