HOW TO APPLY?

Submit a typed proposal of not more than 20 pages, detailing:
✅ The idea/innovation including relevant images or drawings, links
✅ The use of innovative software application, green energy, technology
✅ For existing businesses - past financial performance, registration and other relevant business documentation
✅ The development plan of the solution, implementation strategy, outreach strategy
✅ The strategy for scaling up
✅ Financial projections
✅ Possible national/international impact

GENERAL CRITERIA FOR THE GREEN BUSINESS TECHNOLOGY FUND:

✔️ A new idea which presents a solution to a challenge or need; an innovation which improves a product or the delivery of a service. The solution must include the use of either: a software application, development of a prototype or and involve the use of green energy.
✔️ It can be a start-up or existing business venture, which fits the profile of a ‘small business’ as defined by the Small Business Act of 2004.

AREAS TO BE JUDGED:

The innovativeness of the idea or solution presented to a challenge; the use of technology (green technology, software), the business model underpinning this solution.

☑️ Innovativeness – 50% (innovativeness of the idea/innovation).
☑️ Service/product delivery strategy – 20%
☑️ Impact/sustainability – 30% - likelihood of the idea/innovation having impact both nationally and internationally, being sustained and scaled up.

Please note that "HANDWRITTEN SUBMISSONS" will not be considered and SHORTLISTED applicants will be required to do a verbal presentation using Powerpoint.
