We are in a full Julia Donaldson & Axel Scheffler era right now and honestly, I think I love these books just as much as my toddler does! The rhymes make them such a joy to read out loud (sometimes I’m having more fun than he is 😅), and the illustrations are gorgeous — he’ll sit pointing at all the animals like it’s the best game ever. Most of them are recommended for ages 3–7, but even at 2.5 he’s completely hooked. Our current favorites: The Gruffalo, Room on the Broom, Tiddler, and The Snail and the Whale.
