Down syndrome is a chromosomal condition that is associated with intellectual disability, a characteristic facial appearance, and weak muscle tone (hypotonia) in infancy.
People with Down syndrome have a higher risk of some conditions, including Alzheimer's disease and epilepsy.

Here are 6 Bathroom Safety tips for fall prevention amongst the elderly .......

1. Leave a light on in your bathroom at night.
2. Use bath aids, securely installed on the walls of the bath/shower stall and on the sides of the toilet.
3. Skid-proof the tub and make sure the bath mat has a non-slip bottom.
4. Mark cold and hot faucets clearly.
5. Use door locks that can be opened from both sides.
If possible, bathe only when help is available.

Alzheimer's disease is an irreversible, progressive brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills and, eventually, the ability to carry out the simplest tasks.

December 1st marks World Aids Day every year since 1988. It’s an opportunity for people worldwide to unite in the fight against HIV, to show support for people living with HIV, and to commemorate those who have died from an AIDS-related illness.

Today, scientific advances have been made in HIV treatment, there are laws to protect people living with HIV and we understand so much more about the condition. Despite this, many people are still diagnosed with HIV, people do not know the facts about how to protect themselves and others, and stigma and discrimination remain a reality for many people living with the condition.

World AIDS Day is important because it reminds the public and government that HIV has not gone away – there is still a vital need to raise money, increase awareness, fight prejudice and improve education.

Today I want you to take some time , educate yourself on HIV / Aids , prevention, treatment, myths, the stigma ,and discrimination .
And remember..... you will not get HIV from hugging 🤗
