This November’s UK Youth Parliament Annual Sitting brought together passionate young people from across the UK to five crucial topics: housing, health, employment, crime, and sustainability.
These aren’t just conversations; they are the starting point for real change, led by students who care deeply about their future.
👉Why this matters:
❗️Each topic reflects a real challenge that young people face today.
❗️Young voices can influence their classmates, their schools, and even their families.
❗️The process helps youth-led ideas develop into clear recommendations that can guide future decisions.
follows a similar spirit by encouraging students to take part in meaningful discussions.
It empowers them to express complex ideas, build confidence, and take responsibility for the issues that matter to them.
Through Teens Debate practice:
🔆Develop teamwork skills
🔆Practise persuasive speaking
🔆Strengthen critical thinking
🔆Become positive role models for younger students in their schools
Both the UK Youth Parliament and Teens Debate show that when young people are given space to speak and explore ideas, they become more confident, more informed, and more active in their communities.
