If you think a juice is just squeezed fruit in a plastic cup, you’re doing it all wrong. Here, we treat every smoothie like a masterpiece and every tiki mug like a canvas. We’re talking vibrant, nutrient-packed potions that taste like a tropical vacation and look like a work of art.

Long before the Hugo Spritz found its way to sunny beaches and holiday sunsets, it was born in the mountains of northern Italy. In 2005, a bartender named Roland Gruber wanted to create something lighter, fresher, and more floral than the classic spritz. Mixing elderflower liquor, sparkling wine, soda water, fresh mint, and lime, he accidentally created a drink that would travel far beyond the Alps.
Today, that same refreshing spirit has found a new home by the sea at Funkyland Beach Bar Restaurant in Agios Gordios.
Imagine this: the sun slowly dipping into the Ionian Sea, warm sand beneath your feet, the sound of waves dancing with your favorite summer tunes, and a perfectly chilled Hugo Spritz in your hand. At Funkyland, we believe every cocktail tells a story. The Hugo's story began high in the Italian mountains, but tonight it continues on our beach, with travelers, dreamers, friends, and sunset lovers from all around the world.

When you visit us at Funkyland, we love sharing the real stories behind our food. The beautiful dish you see in image.png all started with a conversation at the local docks.
Our local fishermen out on the water always tell us how much they love seeing the coast's natural beauty every single day. They take immense pride in bringing in the freshest catch, and we wanted to honor that hard work by doing something a little bit unique and "funky" with the presentation.
So, we decided to bring the ocean side-by-side with our favorite comfort food!
As shown in image.png, our kitchen team creates a smooth, velvety bed of rich, slow-stirred creamy risotto tossed with fresh herbs. Then, we carefully hand-arrange these stunning, natural sea shells to mimic the rolling waves of the sea, nestled right on the plate. Inside each one sits a tender, beautifully seared scallop.
It’s an honest, delicious, and eye-catching way to celebrate our local waters and the amazing folks who fish them.
