The first outcome of this ongoing effort has been "γ-eye"; a unique benchtop camera, suitable for scintigraphic mouse imaging, which is now commercially available. "γ-eye" is the only system in its category that combines a 2mm spatial resolution, with the ability to carry out dynamic, whole body, mouse imaging. The system is smaller than a printer and is accompanied with a standard laptop where all acquisition, archiving and processing software is installed. The cost of "γ-eye" is comparable to standard laboratory equipment and allows a group to shift from ex vivo to in vivo imaging in a single step!
