Antonios Benakis, the original owner of Aello, was a Greek merchant and art collector, a scion to one of the most prominent Greek families. His legacy includes the famous Benaki Museum in Athens as well as his representation as the main protagonist, on his sister’s, Penelope Delta, novel “Trelantonis”.
