Hello people!I am the recording singer/songwriter Giorgos Dimitriadis and this page is about my English songwriting side-project I have been so far releasing music and songs in Greek language having put out up to this day 14 albums from out of which I had the pleasure to enjoy several hits and other well known songs
.I have been working on the idea of my Eng
lish songs for some years now and I feel the time is right and the need is great to make a change and direct myself to my essential musical roots. The songs published here are simple demos and will be orchestrated in due time. I got my influences which are all mixed up in the blender of my soul. BIO
I was born in Athens and at the age of six my family and I moved to Thessaloniki where I grew up from then on. I grew up listening to rock music and thus becoming a huge rock fan trying to write my first songs. Most people know me as a Greek singing songwriter but the thought of singing my songs in English never stopped concerning me.So here I am now with the first samples of what I am up to.When I was a kid I kept listening to the singles my elder sister brought home and tried to sing out Beatles' songs and what have you!I knew deep inside me that one day I would pick up the mike and play with a rocknroll band! As a student when I took English Literature,I started learning my first guitar chords,spending hours and hours listening to records.Writing my first song was not an easy thing to do.It dawned on me one day when I was heartbroken and from then on it felt lot easier to sit down to it and write my first bunch of songs.Their release took place after some yrs though because in Greece the general atmosphere did not make allowances for the style of music I was prone to.Better late than ever!Now after so many yrs I am proud to say that I have released my music the way I want to as I always dreamed of.
