Γιατί οι κατασκευές χρειάζονται Σεισμική Μόνωση?

Σε αντίθεση με τα συμβατικά κτίρια, που στο σεισμό σχεδιασμού, εν γένει θα παρουσιάσουν βλάβες σε φέροντα και μη φέροντα στοιχεία, τα σεισμικώς μονωμένα κτίρια εξασφαλίζουν πλήρη αντισεισμική προστασία, ελευθερία αρχιτεκτονικού σχεδιασμού και απρόσκοπτη λειτουργία. Επιπλέον, συνήθως προσφέρουν μείωση κόστους και πιο κομψές αισθητικά λύσεις στο φέροντα οργανισμό. Παρά τα σαφή πλεονεκτήματα, η διάδοση των συστημάτων σεισμικής μόνωσης και απόσβεσης στην Ελλάδα παραμένει περιορισμένη λόγω ελλιπούς ενημέρωσης.
Στην ημερίδα (assisi-athens.net) που συμμετέχουμε και τη συνδιοργανώνει η Anti-Seismic Systems International Society και το Hellenic Association for Earthquake Engineering - HAEE / ETAM στις 22/5 γίνεται ένα ακόμη βήμα για να καλυφθεί το έλλειμμα πληροφόρησης.

Unlike conventional buildings, which during the design earthquake will, in most cases, get damages to structural and non-structural elements, seismic isolated buildings ensure full seismic protection, freedom of architectural design and uninterrupted operation. In addition, they usually offer cost reduction and a more elegant structural system. Despite the clear advantages, the spread of seismic isolation and energy dissipation systems in Greece remains limited due to lack of information.
At the workshop (assisi-athens.net) on 22/5 that we participate in, co-organized by the Anti-Seismic Systems International Society, Inc. and the Hellenic Association for Earthquake Engineering - HAEE / ETAM, another step is taken to fill the information gap.
