CHANIA RETREAT REFLECTIONS
You don't just see Chania- you feel it.

Faded shutters & golden light,
a city painted in ochres & sea washed blues,
a place where time lingers in sunlit alleyways
and the past whispers from weathered stone.

We began our retreat here, in this ancient city-
to slow down, to notice,
to soften into the rythym of this enchanting place.

From iconic eats, to wandering its time worn streets,
Chania holds a certain creative charge-
that quietly sparked everyone's senses....

The Scent of Tradition – A Living Craft in Corfu

One of the highlights of our time in Corfu was visiting the small, family-run Patounis Soap Factory—still operating with tools and techniques dating back to 1891.

For five generations, this family has been crafting pure, traditional olive oil soap using ancestral recipes passed down from father to son. The factory itself feels like a living museum—its patinaed walls and original equipment standing as quiet witnesses to more than a century of handmade tradition.

Their soap is made from locally sourced olive products and has long been trusted by the local community for its skin-friendly, natural qualities. It was such a privilege to witness this timeless craft in motion—to smell the scent of fresh soap, to feel the care in every step, and to connect with a piece of Corfu’s industrial heritage that’s still alive and thriving today.

We took home some of their face soap, laundry soap & the most beautiful hand harvested local sea salt. If you're ever on Corfu, I highly recommend stopping by
