𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗿. ⚓📲

We are pleased to share that the Hydrus App Demo for Enclosed Space Entry is now available. 🚢

Following the adoption of 𝗜𝗠𝗢 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗦𝗖.𝟱𝟴𝟭(𝟭𝟭𝟬) on 27 June 2025, ship operators are required to maintain a ship-specific Enclosed Space Register and perform a systematic risk assessment before every entry.

At 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝘂𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴, we translated these regulatory requirements into a practical digital solution designed for onboard use — replacing paper-based checklists with a guided, structured, and auditable workflow. ✅

What the app delivers
✅ Alignment with IMO Resolution MSC.581(110) and current industry best practice
✅ Vessel-specific data predefined by Hydrus, including enclosed spaces, hazards, mitigation measures, and ventilation baselines
✅ Flexibility for onboard adjustments to reflect actual operating conditions
✅ Sequential logic that reduces the risk of skipped steps or incomplete assessments
✅ Audit-ready records for vessel files and external inspections 📋
✅ Offline operation on any onboard laptop 💻

Current scope
This demo version has been developed for bulk carrier operators. ⚓
A dedicated version for tanker operators is already under development and will soon follow, addressing the specific hazards associated with liquid bulk and gas cargoes. 🔜

Why it matters
The objective is simple: make enclosed space entry assessments faster, more consistent, and fully compliant — while allowing crews to focus less on paperwork and more on the checks that genuinely protect lives. 🛡️

At Hydrus Engineering, we believe that safety procedures should be designed with the same engineering discipline as the systems they are meant to safeguard.

Watch the short walkthrough below for a demonstration of the app in action. 🎥

Looking back in 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, one milestone stands out for our team.
Within the last year, the 𝗠/𝗩 𝗞𝗟𝗘𝗢𝗡𝗜𝗞𝗜 was 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗣 𝟮𝟭 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘂𝘀 by the 𝗨.𝗦. 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 — a distinction recognizing vessels that consistently demonstrate the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational performance.
For a 15-year-old, 8,000 DWT geared general cargo vessel, this recognition reflects more than a successful inspection. It represents:
* Systematic technical management
* Strong onboard safety culture
* Consistent PSC readiness
* Close coordination between ship and shore teams
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Master, officers and crew of KLEONIKI for their professionalism and commitment, as well as to the Republic of the Marshall Islands Registry for their continued support.
Achievements like this reaffirm our belief that disciplined engineering, structured HSQE implementation, and operational transparency are the foundations of reliable vessel performance.
As we move further into 2026, we remain committed to maintaining the same standards across our services portfolio.
