A milestone for the Greek capital market.
We welcome the decision by STOXX to reclassify Greece to Developed Market status, effective 21 September 2026. This important announcement completes the recognition of Greece as a Developed Market by all major international index providers.
For Euronext Athens, this development strengthens international positioning and supports attracting global capital and the growth of Greek companies.

It was a great honour for Euronext Athens to host the official inauguration of the Euronext Technology & Support Centre in Athens this past Saturday.
We were privileged to welcome Kyriakos Pierrakakis, Minister of National Economy and Finance of Greece and President of Eurogroup, Roland Lescure, Minister of the Economy, Finance and Industrial, Energy and Digital Sovereignty, and Stephane Boujnah, CEO and Chairman of the Managing Board of Euronext, and Yianos Kontopoulos, CEO of Euronext Athens for this important milestone.
The new Centre reflects Euronext’s long-term commitment to Greece and highlights Athens as a growing hub for technology and support services within the Group.
We sincerely thank all distinguished guests, partners, students and colleagues who joined us for this special occasion.
