Performance.architecture

In performance architecture school we use a wide range of bibliography to inform our teaching. Taken by Surprise, a Dance Improvisation Reader, edited by AnnCooper Albright and David Gere "reflects the development of improvisation as a compositional and performance mode in a wide variety of dance contexts, includiong dance traditions from around the globe, such as Yoruban masked dance, Indian Bharatanatyam and flamenco". Also, very importantly in the context of our course the book contains "a section on improvisation in everyday life"..
