You don't need to sit in silence for an hour to be mindful. Sometimes, all it takes is a pen and one honest sentence. ✍️
In my book "The Write Way to Mindfulness", I mapped out 5 paths to mindful writing, and each one starts exactly where you are right now.
Swipe through to discover all 5 👉
Each way comes with writing prompts designed to help you slow down, tune in, and discover something true about yourself.
Which of these 5 feels most like what you need right now? Tell me in the comments 👇

Where is our memory kept?
Is it in our mind, our heart, or our senses?
Just a single drop of perfume, the scent of rain, or the smell of freshly baked bread can transport us back in time, to moments we thought we had forgotten, back to our true selves.
The essence of remembrance - Write Oneself Once upon a time, on the fringes of time and in the clearings of oblivion, there lived people who had been forgotten by the world. They were

All of them pressed tightly against one another, as if leaning together to keep from sliding down toward the sea.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐚𝐱, 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐚 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐚 – 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐚
I found myself in Halifax in the middle of summer. However, apart from the relatively high temperature, nothing reminded me of summer. Rain was the leading actor, coming on stage with grandeur and disappearing just as suddenly. The fog, always there, blurred the landscape around and limited the view of the opposite shore.
And there, in the middle of the wooden pier, a red chair, indifferent to the rain and the limited view, gazed out at the Atlantic.
I sit and listen to the rain falling gently around me. The wood is slippery, and the air is full of salt. A thought pops into my head and asks me:
“How do you distinguish between loneliness and solitude?”
Loneliness is a painful absence, the anticipation of something or someone coming to fill a personal space.
Solitude is a space of choice: time without any presence and space exclusively for the inner voice.
In this chair, solitude takes the form of practice. The rain becomes the background music, breathing sets the pace, and thoughts dissolve.
When the need to fill voids ceases, real needs emerge:
“What tires me, what nourishes me, what has meaning, and what wastes my time meaninglessly.”
This is how self-knowledge comes. From the ability to remain in silence without fear. Without searching for someone to fill the silence. Without seeking someone to give meaning to the moment, the hour, the day, the life.
I raise and stand. The horizon is the same distance away. But I feel the whole universe close to me.
