Yesterday, I left Accra for Dubai, UAE, then onward to Guangzhou, China for two weeks, after which I will travel to New Delhi, for the India-Africa Business Dialogue & Exhibition, before returning briefly to Dubai to meet with partners of the Gomoa Industrial Fair which starts from 27th to 29th November, and then finally back home to Accra, Ghana.

For the next three weeks, it will be nonstop, aggressive investment promotion to build something historic.

When H.E. President John Dramani Mahama spoke about a 24-Hour Economy, he was not merely talking about fuel stations and shops operating through the night. He was talking about an industrialized Ghana. A productive Ghana. A Ghana that runs three shifts a day to manufacture more, process more, trade more, and export more.

A Ghana where factories never sleep. Where ports move day and night. Where logistics, agro-processing, manufacturing, technology, tourism, and commerce thrives and operates around the clock to create jobs and wealth for our people.

That is the real meaning of a 24-Hour Economy, and this is exactly what we have been working towards from the very beginning through the Gomoa Special Economic Zone.

The Gomoa Special Economic Zone will become the biggest industrial, commercial, and tourist destination Ghana has witnessed since Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah built Tema.

This vision will not be achieved by wishes, slogans, or noise. It will be achieved through hard work, sacrifice, strategic partnerships, and relentless ex*****on.
