Hi Everyone, believe we are all doing well. For our next topic, we would be discussing how fires occur when we use our mobile phones especially when we want to turn on/off our Gen sets. Watch this space............
Most homes use the traditional Gas cylinder and Stove, connected together with hose/tube. After cooking, people either leave the regulator still activated (on the ON position) or switch off the burner of the stove before going to the regulator of the gas cylinder.
The correct way to ensure you rid your kitchen off fires after cooking is to turn off the regulator of the gas cylinder FIRST, then finish off with that of the stove.
When this is done, the gas (fuel) in the tube would have been used up by the burner, until it dies off. By this action you are sure there is no free gas anywhere in the hose.
So the next time you are done cooking, TURN OFF THE REGULATOR AND REMOVE FROM THE HEAD OF THE CYLINDER, THEN PROCEED TO THE STOVE.
