HAS THE MIRACULOUS GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT ENDED?
Today I am engaging with some controversial topic. It is about the miraculous gifts of the Spirit.
I am quoting the scriptures from the Bible direct without any dilution. I want you to read them carefully and then suggest your opinions.

In the initial stages of our Christianity, we were taught that, the miraculous gift of the Holy Spirit have ceased. I used to believe that the African worship was worldly and entreated our Church members to use only the Western hymns. I went into extreme to tell our Church members NOT to clap their hands at Church. I want to apologize for what I have taught for many years. I want to say that, that doctrine was false.

First of all I want us to read from the Scriptures.
The following Passages deal with the gifts of the Holy Spirit:
1 Cor. 12:4-11. “There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines”.

1 Peter 4:8-11 “Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. The Acts 20:28
"Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood".

Apostle Paul is still calling the leaders of the Church to first of all, take care of themselves. This includes taking good care of ourselves Spiritually and physically. They are to take care of their families, especially their immediate family. We are called to oversee the members of the Church and to shepherd them.

Overseeing the flock of God is so tedious. There are misunderstandings and disheartening experiences.

We are to exercise patience and accommodative to all. We should not meet problems with emotions, but with maturity.
