A terrible accident at Oda to Oda Nkwanta road has claimed the life of Akyem Oda MP's aide, Kofi Nti while three others battle for their lives at the hospital following a head on collision between two cars.

The dead person, Kofi Nti, who is the personal aid for Akyem Oda MP, Hon. Alexander Akwasi Acquah together with the driver who was driving the NPP party's pick up vehicle were going round monitoring the ongoing NPP polling station election at Oda Nkwanta where the sad incident happened.

Three teachers at Adiewoso M/A Basic School in the Western Region were reportedly whipped and assaulted by suspected soldiers during an operation against illegal mining activities.

The teachers, including the headteacher, allegedly identified themselves with GNAT cards, but the soldiers ignored them, forced them to lie on the ground, and whipped them, causing injuries.

The incident has sparked outrage, with many questioning whether some security officers think they are above the law.

A local hunter has allegedly shot and k!lled a woman after mistaking her for an animal at Okaniaase, a community in the Oti Region.

According to reports, the victim was on her way to gather mangoes when the incident occurred.

The suspect reportedly told investigators he did not realize a person was in the area at the time of the shooting.

Patrick Osei, popularly known as Pomo, the Marketing Manager of Promasidor Ghana for the Eastern, Ashanti, Volta, and Greater Accra Regions, has sadly passed away following a tragic road accident at Suhyin on the Koforidua–Tafo Highway.

According to eyewitness accounts, the incident occurred on Saturday, May 2, 2026, when a Hyundai H400 allegedly veered into his lane while overtaking a motorcycle. In an attempt to avoid a collision, his vehicle reportedly swerved off the road and crashed into a tree.
