The Last One Syndrome

On the way out of an addiction, say p**n and ma********on or any other destructive addiction, the cycle is repeated several times under the guise of 'this is the last one'. Maybe this addresses you, the one reading this right now.

Well, the straight forward truth is there's actually no last one when it comes to quitting an addiction. There's no saying goodbye. Addiction thrives on repetitions. The more you repeat an act, the more your body recognizes that act as a necessity of its existence. Your body gradually builds a satisfactory reward of doing it, and that's the beginning of habit formation. The more an act is repeated, the more the chances of more repetitions.

Destructive addiction is not your friend. It seeks to destroy you, humiliate you, disgrace you, belittle you and above all re**rd your progress by interfering with thinking and progressive activities. The tactic of quitting lies in your ability to break the cycle and replace it with something more profitable. Please you've got to break the mindset of the last one syndrome. Just leave, no exchange of parting pleasantries. Clear the thoughts of last ones from your mind and don't let it come back. Strengthen your will to stand and take back your freedom and fulfillment.
