What better way to mark World Hunger Day than by learning a practical skill that can help nourish babies and create a source of income for mothers? 🌍✨

At the Asenema Epicenter in Ghana’s Eastern Region, THP-Ghana joined community partners for a hands-on Celemix training as part of this year’s World Hunger Day celebration.

Made from locally available ingredients such as maize and soybeans, Celemix is a simple yet powerful, nutritious mix that can support healthier meals for children and families. 🥣🌽

This year’s theme, “The End of Hunger is in Our Hands,” could not be more true. From the hands that plant seeds, to the hands preparing nutritious meals to the hands teaching others new skills, every action matters. ✋🏾

Ending hunger always starts with people leading the way.

Teenage pregnancy should not define a girl’s future.

Since 2024, working together with The Hunger Project- Switzerland, The Hunger Project-Ghana has been on a three-year journey supporting 11 young moms through the Economic Empowerment for Teenage Mothers Project.

Through the project, these teen moms are gaining employable vocational skills that will enable them to earn a living and build independent futures for themselves and their children.

The project is supporting young women to rebuild their confidence and participate fully in economic and social life, creating new possibilities for themselves, their families, and their communities.
