For many of us young ladies, Achievers Ghana is not just an organization; it is a home that discovered our potential, nurtured our confidence, and transformed our lives. We joined this journey as young girls with dreams, curiosity, and determination, and today we are proud to stand as leaders and active contributors to the running of the organization.

The 15-year journey of Achievers Ghana has not been easy, but it has been impactful, inspiring, and life-changing. Through challenges, limited resources, long travels to communities, and countless sacrifices, the organization remained committed to empowering girls and young people through education, STEM, leadership, and community development.

Many of us sitting at decision-making tables today were once beneficiaries of the programs. We were trained, mentored, encouraged, and given opportunities to grow. Today, we facilitate programs, mentor younger girls, coordinate activities, and contribute meaningfully to the vision and sustainability of Achievers Ghana.

This journey has taught us resilience, teamwork, leadership, and the importance of giving back to society. We are living testimonies that when girls are given opportunities, guidance, and support, they become powerful agents of change in their communities.

As Achievers Ghana celebrates 15 years of impact, we celebrate every volunteer, staff member, partner, donor, mentor, and community that believed in this vision. We are proud to be products of this movement and even prouder to continue carrying the vision forward for the next generation of girls.

The journey continues, and the future is brighter than ever.

We have successfully facilitated Day 1 of a workshop introducing the concept of Project SOAR to selected girls at the Dodowa Learning Center.

The session served as an orientation, helping participants understand the purpose and vision of Project SOAR and what the upcoming training will involve. To make the learning interactive and inclusive, we used activities such as the “name and ball game,” creating a fun and participatory environment where the girls could connect, engage, and express themselves freely.

Day 1 focused mainly on introduction, relationship building, and creating a safe space for learning and participation.

Looking ahead, Day 2 will be packed with practical and hands-on activities designed to equip the girls with facilitation skills, preparing them to serve as peer facilitators within their various communities.

We are much grateful to Global Fund for Children for making this possible for our girls and for their continued support in empowering young leaders.

We are excited about the journey ahead as we continue building confident, skilled, and empowered young leaders.

15th Anniversary Celebration Notice

15 Years of Impact: Empowering Girls, Engineering the Future.

Achievers Ghana is proud to celebrate its 15th Anniversary, marking fifteen years of dedicated service, innovation, and community transformation.

As a grassroots organization, Achievers Ghana has remained at the forefront of empowering children and girls in underserved communities through STEM education, digital skills training, mentorship, leadership development, and opportunities that inspire young people to reach their full potential.

Grassroots organizations play a vital role in creating sustainable change because they work directly with communities, understand local challenges, and develop practical solutions that respond to real needs.

For fifteen years, Achievers Ghana has demonstrated the power of community-driven development by reaching thousands of girls and young people across Ghana, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, confidence, and support needed to become leaders and changemakers in their communities.

To commemorate this important milestone, Achievers Ghana will host a special anniversary ceremony to celebrate our achievements, reflect on our journey, and recognize the many individuals and institutions that have contributed to our success.

A special appreciation will be extended to our valued partners and supporters whose unwavering commitment and investment in our mission have enabled us to expand opportunities for girls and young people.

We are deeply grateful to Global Fund for Children, Yazi Foundation, Kglfoundation (KGL Foundation), BPS, and GlobalGiving among many others, for their invaluable support, trust, and partnership throughout the years. Their contributions have helped transform lives, strengthen communities, and create pathways to brighter futures for countless children and girls.

The celebration will also recognize outstanding beneficiaries who began their journey with Achievers Ghana as participants and have grown into facilitators, mentors, coordinators, and staff members, demonstrating the long-term impact of investing in young people. Citations of appreciation will be presented to key supporters, schools, volunteers, partners, organizations, and community champions who have stood with Achievers Ghana through its challenges, growth, and successes.

As we celebrate 15 Years of Impact, we reaffirm our commitment to empowering girls, advancing STEM education, strengthening communities, and engineering a future where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Thank you to all our partners, supporters, volunteers, alumni, staff, beneficiaries, and friends of Achievers Ghana for being part of this remarkable journey. Together, we have made an impact. Together, we will continue to engineer the future.

The learning visit organized by Global Fund for Children brought together West Africa partners, including Achievers Ghana, to visit Project Soar in Morocco. The purpose of the visit was to provide partners with the opportunity to learn from Project Soar’s impactful community-based programs focused on adolescent girls’ empowerment, leadership, education, health, and wellbeing.

During the visit, partners engaged in several practical and interactive program activities implemented by Project Soar. These included girls’ leadership and confidence-building sessions, mentorship programs, life skills education, safe space discussions, storytelling and advocacy activities, community engagement approaches, monitoring and evaluation practices, and income-generating initiatives for women and girls. Partners also visited community centers and interacted directly with facilitators and beneficiaries to better understand the long-term impact of the programs.

Achievers Ghana was proud to be part of this important initiative and highly appreciates the opportunity to learn, share experiences, and strengthen partnerships with fellow organizations across West Africa. The visit created a strong platform for collaboration, networking, and knowledge exchange among partners working to improve the lives of girls and young people in their communities.

Achievers Ghana is committed to incorporating the valuable lessons and best practices learned from Project Soar into its own program activities, particularly in the areas of girls’ empowerment, STEM education, mentorship, safeguarding, leadership development, and community engagement.

Special appreciation goes to Global Fund for Children for creating this opportunity, supporting partner learning, and fostering collaboration among organizations making meaningful impact across Africa.
