Dry and hazy conditions are expected to persist over northern Ghana and parts of the transition sector throughout the forecast period with a visibility range of 2km to 8km. Early this morning, patches of mist or fog are likely to develop over the coastal, forested and mountainous areas of southern Ghana.

Thereafter, bright and sunny conditions will prevail across the country. Nevertheless, localised formation of rain-bearing and thunder clouds are likely within a few locations along the coastline, the immediate inland areas of the coast, as well as the forest belt.

UPDATE: A Bank of Ghana document shows the Domestic Gold Purchase Programme (DGPP) recorded multi-billion cedi losses between 2022 and 2024, with total net losses exceeding GH¢7.1bn, driven largely by Gold-for-Oil and Gold-for-Reserves transactions.
