OPENING PRAYER: ✅

BIBLE VERSE
Luke 4:1 - Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness

RETELLING/ PARAPHRASING
Jesus was then brought into the wilderness after being anointed with the Holy Spirit and returning from the Jordan.

LESSON/ INTERPRETATION
a. Our Lord Jesus Christ was anointed with the Holy Spirit at His baptism.

b. Until a person is filled with the Holy Spirit, one cannot be led by the Spirit.

c. This is from the time a person places faith in Christ. The Holy Spirit permanently indwells believers, and He will never leave us.

d. Being “led” by the Spirit, we should be open and receptive to the Holy Spirit’s guidance just as Jesus was.

e. Being led by the Spirit does not mean that you will avoid spiritual struggles.

f. You must obey the Holy Spirit's instructions if you want to let Him lead you. Reading the Bible can help you become conscious of the Holy Spirit's guiding in addition to following His conviction.
