Please be aware there are 3 trees that have been blowen down along the path from Stocks Hotel area towards Christopher Harris‘s house with a possibility of another three likely to fall as well. Please keep away from this area until the area has been made safe and the winds have died down.

There is potential for another severe storm possibly on Friday 23rd Jan 2026 now, similar in strength to Goretti. The computer models are still inconsistent in their timing, positioning and intensity of this storm, so keep an eye on the forecast. However, suffice to say, whilst hoping for the best, it’s always wise to make early preparations for the worst. If winds are as strong as Goretti, then it looks as though the direction will be mainly SE’ly or S’ly, which would mean that some different trees in different areas would be vulnerable, especially as recent rainfall has very much softened the soil.
