მე ვარ სოფიო, 37 წლის და უპირველეს ყოვლისა, ვარ დედა.

ჩემი მეუღლე ტრაგიკულად გარდაიცვალა, მე კი ორსული მარტო დავრჩი. ცხოვრება გავაგრძელე, მაგრამ დედამთილთან არ მქონდა კარგი ურთიერთობა, რადგანაც ოჯახმა ჩემი შვილი ოჯახის საკუთრებად მიიჩნია და მემუქრებოდა რომ როგორც კი ვიმშობიარებდი ბავშვი მათთვის უნდა გადამეცა და მე ჩემს სახლში დავბრუნებულიყავი. ამის შიშით ვიცხოვრე ფიქრში და დარდში ის პერიოდი.

ერთ დღესაც გადავწყვიტე გამოვპარულიყავი. გვიან ღამე სახლიდან წამოვედი და ახლოს მდებარე ტყის გავლით გამოვიქეცი. საშინელი გზა გამოვიარე, მაგრამ საზღვარი გადმოვლახე და სამშვიდობოს მოვაღწიე ორსულმა. ამის შემდეგ გავაგრძელე ცხოვრება დედასთან სენაკში, გავაჩინე ლამაზი და ჭკვიანი გოგონა. ცოტა ხანში დედა დაავადდა და საწოლად ჩავარდა. არსად არ ვმუშაობდი და მე და ჩემი გოგო ვცხოვრობდით ავადმყოფი დედის პენსიის ამარად. ერთი თვის წინ კი დედაც გარდამეცვალა.

ერთ დღესაც სენაკის მუნიციპალიტეტის სოცილური დაცვის სამსახურმა დამირეკა და დამპატიჟა მერიაში შეხვედრაზე, სადაც გავიგე რომ პროფესიული გადამზადების კუთხით შემეძლო მონაწილეობა მიმეღო ASB საქართველოს მიერ გამოცხადებულ კონკურსში. შევავსე განაცხადი და ცოტა ხანში ორგანიზაციამ დამპატიჟა უნარების განვითარების ტრენინგებზე.
დავესწარი სასარგებლო და საჭირო ტრენინგებს. იყო საოცრად მზრუნველი გარემო. იგივე ტრენინგს ესწრებოდა ერთი საოცრად საინტერესო, მშრომელი და კეთილი ადამიანი ნათია, რომელიც თურმე მაკვირდებოდა ტრენინგზე, სადაც ჩემი ისტორია გავაჟღერე. ტრენინგის დასრულების შემდეგ მოვიდა ჩემთან და საკუთარი სურვილით გამომიწოდა დახმარების ხელი, მითხრა რომ მასწავლიდა წამწამების დაგრძელებას, რითაც მე გამიჩნდებოდა საკუთარი საქმე და საკუთარი შემოსავალი.

დღეს ვმუშაობ სალონში, ვასწავლი სხვასაც და მაქვს ჩემი შემოსავალი, რითიც ჩემს ქალიშვილს ვუზრუნველყოფ.

რომ არა ASB საქართველოს უნარების განვითარების ტრენინგები, ალბათ ისევ ისე ვიჯდებოდი სახლში, ისევ უმუშევარი, პროფესიის არ მქონე, დეპრესიაში მყოფი და დათრგუნული ქალი. ახლა კი მიხარია დილის გათენება, ვიცი რომ რაღაცა შემიძლია, კონკრეტულ საქმეს ვაკეთებ, საკუთარი შემოსავალი გამაჩნია და ჩემს ქალიშვილს უზრუნველ მომავალს ვუქმნი.

დედის სიყვარული ყოველგვარ შიშზე ძლიერია. გილოცავთ დედის დღეს.

My name is Sofia, I am 37 years old — and above all, I am a mother.

When my husband tragically passed away, I was left alone and pregnant. Instead of preparing for motherhood with joy, I was living in fear. My late husband’s family believed my unborn child belonged to them and threatened to take my baby away after birth. Every day, I carried not only my daughter under my heart — but also fear and uncertainty.

One night, I made the hardest decision of my life. To protect my child, I fled. Pregnant and terrified, I escaped through the forest in the dark, not knowing what would happen if I were found. I crossed the border safely and started over in Senaki with my mother and soon gave birth to my beautiful baby girl.

Life remained difficult. My mother became ill, and after her passing, I was left as the only support for my child. I had no job, no profession — only the responsibility to stay strong for my daughter.

At one of the most difficult moments in my life, the Social Protection Service of Senaki Municipality informed me about a vocational training opportunity offered by ASB Georgia. I applied and joined the skills development training. There, I shared my story.
One participant, Natia, was deeply moved. After the training, she approached me and offered to personally teach me eyelash extension techniques so I could start working and build my own income. That gesture of solidarity between women — between mothers — changed everything.

Today, I work in a beauty salon. I teach others. I earn my own income. I provide for my daughter with dignity.

This Mother’s Day, my story is not just about hardship. It is about the strength of a mother who chose courage over fear. It is about new beginnings made possible through opportunity and compassion. It is about women supporting women.

Without ASB Georgia’s skills development training, I may still be sitting at home, unemployed and hopeless. Instead, today I wake up proud — knowing that I am building a better future for my daughter.

Because a mother’s love is stronger than fear. Happy mothers day.

🇺🇦 ოთხი წელი გავიდა მას შემდეგ, რაც უკრაინაში ომი დაიწყო. ათასობით უკრაინელი უსაფრთხო და სტაბილური გარემოს ძიების მიზნით, იძულებული გახდა საკუთარი სახლი დაეტოვებინა. ბევრმა მათგანმა დროებითი თავშესაფარი საქართველოში იპოვა.

2022 წლიდან ASB საქართველოში მცხოვრები უკრაინელი ლტოლვილების გვერდით დგას, უზრუნველჰყოფს მათ აუცილებელ საჭიროებებს, აძლიერებს და ეხმარება მათ ღირსეულ ინტეგრაციაში.

ASB საქართველომ, გერმანიის საგარეო საქმეთა სამინისტროსა და „Aktion Deutschland Hilft (ADH)”-ის მხარდაჭერით, დაახლოებით 9,4 მილიონი ევროს ოდენობის ჰუმანიტარული და ადრეული მხარდაჭერის ღონისძიებები განახორციელა და დაეხმარა 9000-ზე მეტ უკრაინელს მრავალმიზნობრივი ფულადი დახმარების(MPCA), ფსიქოსოციალური მხარდაჭერისა (PSS) და “Cash-for-Work”-ის პროგრამების მეშვეობით.

მიმდინარე პროექტის “ლტოლვილებისა და მასპინძელი თემების გაძლიერება: დასაქმების გაუმჯობესება და მდგრადი ინტეგრაციის აქტიური მხარდაჭერა (ELSI)” ფარგლებში, ASB-ის რეგიონული დირექტორი, კლემენს ფონ ჰაიმენდალმი და საფრანგეთის საგანგებო სრულუფლებიანი ელჩი სომხეთში, ბატონი ოლივიე დეკოტინიე, სამუშაო ვიზიტის ფარგლებში, ეგენაძორს ესტუმრნენ. სტუმრობისას შეფასდა პროექტის მიმდინარეობა და რეგიონში არსებული მდგომარეობა.

რეგიონულმა დირექტომა სომხეთის მასშტაბით არსებული პროფესიული განათლების ცენტრები მოინახულა. აღნიშნული ცენტრები, პროექტის ფარგლებში, მნიშვნელოვან როლს ასრულებენ სომხეთში მცხოვრები მთიანი ყარაბახიდან ლტოლვილი და მასპინძელი თემების ქალების პროფესიული უნარების გაძლიერებასა და მათი შრომის ბაზარზე მაღლი მოთხოვნის მქონე სექტორში დასაქმების შესაძლებლობების გაუმჯობესებაში.

პარტნიორობის გაძლიერებისა და პროფესიული გადამზადების ხელშეწყობით, "ELSI" პროექტი განაგრძობის მდგრადი ინტეგრაციის მხარდაჭერას და ეკონომიკური გაძლიერების ხელშეწყობას.

As part of the “Empowerment of Refugees and Host Communities: Improving Employability and Active Support for Sustainable Integration (ELSI)” project, the Regional Director Caucasus of Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund (ASB), Clemens von Heimendahl, and the French Ambassador to Armenia, H.E. Olivier Decottignies, conducted a collaborative field visit to Yeghegnadzor. This visit included a meeting at the Mission Armenia (MA) Office to assess the situation, review project progress, and discuss ongoing cooperation.

In addition, the Regional Director visited Vocational Education Centers across Armenia within the project. These centers play a key role in building the capacities of refugee women from Nagorno-Karabakh and women from host communities, enhancing their skills and improving employability in sectors with high labor market demand.

Through strengthened partnerships and targeted vocational training, the ELSI project continues to promote sustainable integration and economic empowerment.
