We took a bit of the Timeless Games magic from our youth exchange in Athens and brought it straight to the region of Georgia - Galavani Public School! 🏫✨

🌍 Timeless Games: A Journey of Inclusion Through Play!

We are happy to share the successful completion of "Timeless Games," an international Erasmus+ youth exchange that brought together young people from Georgia, Greece, Turkey, and North Macedonia to foster social inclusion through traditional games and sports. Hosted by Civitas Athletica (Greece) and funded by the Erasmus+ Programme (Greek National Agency), this project proved that games are more than just play - they are a universal language that connects cultures, promotes diversity, and builds stronger communities.

🔹 Why Traditional Games?
In a world where migration and cultural diversity are shaping our societies, social inclusion is more important than ever. Traditional games, deeply rooted in various cultures, transcend language barriers, encourage teamwork, and celebrate diversity. By exploring and playing each other's games, participants gained insights into different cultures and learned to appreciate diversity in a fun and interactive way.

🔹Project activities also included engaging workshops on social inclusion, diversity, and well-being, collage-making & storytelling about traditional games, brainstorming sessions on sports, mental health, and active citizenship, outdoor activities with locals to promote inclusion through play, recording traditional games for a project video and many more interactive, fun and educational activities.

🔹 Through these activities, participants not only celebrated cultural heritage but also gained a deeper understanding of inclusion, teamwork, and the power of play in uniting people across various backgrounds.
