What a wonderful way to round off our 25th Anniversary year.

Yesterday, we came together at The Friends of Alderman Kneeshaw Park in Hull with friends from across the region to plant a community time capsule that captures a snapshot of our region today.

Filled with stories, memories and special items from the people and community organisations we work alongside, the capsule celebrates the communities, partnerships and acts of kindness that make our region such a special place. When it's opened in 2050, we hope it will tell the story of communities that cared, connected and came together to make a difference.

Celia McKeon, shared:

"One thing that hasn't changed over the last 25 years is our instinct to come together and build community. Strong communities are not a luxury – they are the very foundation of human flourishing. Whatever the needs and challenges ahead, people in communities will rise and organise to meet them. If the last 25 years have taught us anything, it is that when people come together in love and solidarity, we can do extraordinary things."

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make today possible.

To Debbie, the The Friends of Alderman Kneeshaw Park and the park's brilliant gardeners for making us feel so welcome, from preparing the site to the wonderful buffet that brought everyone together after the planting.

We're also grateful to MKM Building Supplies and Enviro Aggregates for providing the stone.

And a very special thank you to James at Bespoke Memorials Hull. From day one, James put his heart into this project. His generosity, craftsmanship and genuine passion for supporting local communities helped turn an idea into something that will stand for generations to come. We couldn't have done it without him.

To everyone who contributed to the time capsule and everyone who joined us to celebrate, we are really grateful.

Here's to the next 25 years, and to the communities that continue to inspire us every day. πŸ’š
