Well, here’s evidence of me using that degree (in addition to the motivational words of my A-Level Music teacher: “you’re never going to get this, Andy. Just do the optional 2nd recital instead”). So, I present to you, as recently recorded for my forthcoming composition, ACTUAL evidence of my 4-part harmony scoring - using a combination of Bach Chorale and Jazz Harmony techniques!
Honestly, I almost believed the hype and gave up on any kind of chorale/harmonic arranging because of those A-Level years.. so my eternal gratitude remains with the AMAZING Dr. David Fligg for his ability to teach and inspire whilst nurturing my talent and confidence. To hear someone like that tell you you’re really getting it and that your ideas are really special.. ♥️
I’m sure I’m not the only person to have been inspired and transformed by this absolute legend. If only he was on Instagram, I’d tag him right now! 😁
