FULL-SIZE DISPLAYS!

As mentioned before, our Sleap show will consist of a 90min break in model flying over the lunch period, to allow some full size movements from the airfield as well as including a 30min air display from Shropshire Aero Club! Also allowing our pilots to grab some lunch and watch it themselves 😉

We are happy to announce the x3 aircraft involved in the display are… a Yak-3, a Steen Skybolt and an Aviat Husky! 🙌🏻 These aircraft will display both on the Saturday & Sunday of the show.

However note as always, aircraft are subject to change with servicability and weather conditions on the day.

🎟️ Online advance tickets are currently discounted by 10%, at £15.30 for an adult day ticket, £32.40 for an adult weekend camping ticket (which includes show entry both days), with Children under 16 going FREE! Online Tickets will change to full price at Midnight on Fri 26th June (1 week before), this will then be the same price as paying on the day. Children under 16 will still remain FREE entry at all times.

There will be some full-size aircraft displays, a range of local arts/ crafts/ other stalls, RC Model traders, a variety of food/ drink vendors, Large RC tanks operating and more announcements still to come! 😱

🏕️ Want to make a weekend out of it? There is affordable onsite camping available (Children under 16 go FREE), with evening entertainment including a bar, live music, food caterers and some informal night flying from the RC Pilots. Toilets, Elsan and drinking water available.

We quite simply don’t know where to start with showing what models are attending, as we already have a list of over 100 fantastic models booked in! 😱

Always a popular draw for many and guaranteed presence will be a range of WW2 Fighters & Multi-engine aircraft! The LMA pilots certainly have no shortage of these, from giant scale Lancasters & B-17’s.. to Spitfires, Mustangs, P-47’s and more.. see them all in action over our show weekend 4/5th July at Shropshire Aero Club!

On the 4th & 5th of July we host the Large Model Association Airshow here at Sleap Airfield. Some of the world’s biggest models, including the largest Vulcan flying, the Red Arrows and much more all take part in an all day airshow! These models are almost the same size as some of our training aircraft!

As well as the model show, between 12-1 we are hosting a full size air display with warbirds, aerobatics and some crazy flying! There are also lots of traders, amazing food options & music.

Anyone is welcome, camping is available with late night bar and live music too. Sleap Members can attend for free and you can fly in too!
