A weekend of getting it very much right

Varsity champions 2023. Another very convincing win for the Viking’s as they travelled north to Durham. A solid performance saw us rack up 7 tries, but with just the one conversion and Adam managing to break the line and evade all the straggling tap tackles only to be taken down by a hidden Durham sniper in the trees, the score line could have been much more flattering. Special mention must go to who must not be a very popular member of the club to score 4 tries and still not get man of the match. The boys then proceeded to do a nice tour of the Durham drinking establishments and a few beers and toasties later they stumbled upon ‘Europe’s worst ranked club’. All in all a very good way to celebrate our league and varsity success, but if any lucky ladies are looking to share a travelodge with anytime soon I wouldn’t hold your breath.

Your squad heading up to Durham for this Sundays varsity finals. For what’s going to be a lot of boys last game in the shirt and also the last game ever in the shirt, there’s a lot to play for.

Your DCRUFC team for tomorrow. After watching and analysing fax on Wednesday, the boys know this is not one to be taken lightly… get down and support the boys for a 2pm kick off on the 22. As we look to close out the league victory.

Another huge win for the boys this Friday under the lights. Once again, the boys started quickly with two tries scored by and , even with the ball proving quite difficult to actually see. In pretty Derwent fashion we allowed back into the game before half time, aided by some very ambiguous interpretations of the law book from the man in the middle. The boys then dug pretty deep, camped in our 22 for most the second half, but a splendid length of the pitch team try which was finished of by helped to seal the win, giving the boys a great 19-10 victory. Once again, thanks for a great game and good luck in Durham. Then a big thank you to everyone that came down and donated to two amazing causes.
