Move Mates

Today I attended the York Volunteer Fair at the Priory Street Centre with one of our wonderful volunteers, Mary.

MoveMates is a small but mighty charity tackling social isolation by helping people get moving. For many of our beneficiaries, a MoveMate is the only human contact they have all week.

Walked to see ‘G’ as a lovely warm sunny day. After a bit of persuasion ‘G’ came out for a short walk with his stroller. Only a few hundred metres and then back as his knee was hurting. He is due another 6 weekly injection tomorrow so should be stronger next week. There is a meeting on Thursday for the residents to review how the heat pump installation has gone. ‘G’ will have a lot to say as his is still not right. He is going to keep calm!
