πβ½ Our Fakenham Fire Cadets have been getting into the football spirit during their latest drill night!
Using hoses and branches, the cadets put their teamwork and aiming skills to the test in a fun football-inspired challenge, scoring goals between two cones.
We hope everyone enjoyed the last match, and if you're staying up late to watch tonight's game, please keep these safety tips in mind:
π» Heading out for a drink? Plan your journey home in advance with a lift, taxi or designated driver.
πΆββοΈ Walking home? Stick together and keep an eye on your friends, especially if you're near rivers, lakes or other open water.
π₯ Firing up the barbecue before kick-off? Never leave it unattended and make sure it's positioned well away from fences, sheds and anything else that could catch fire.

π₯ This forestry fire near Mundford was dealt with quickly this week thanks to an early call to attend, but the damage could have been so much worse.
π It might not be as hot as last weekend, but it's still going to be pretty warm over the coming days. If you think you are warm, temperatures at fires in the open can often reach more than 100 degrees for our crews. Many of these incidents are easily avoided.
βοΈ It is still hot enough for there to be a very high risk of forestry fires and an amber risk of wildfires and we need your support please to keep Norfolk safe.
This week we have attended a number of avoidable fires involving grass, trees and vegetation right across Norfolk.
These have been caused by careless activity including use of disposable barbecues.
If you're planning to head out and about please:
π₯ͺ Taking a picnic instead of a barbecue
ποΈ Take litter home
π¬ Fully extinguish any smoking materials.
π Every avoidable emergency we attend means those crews are not available should another emergency come in.
π«Ά Help us to keep Norfolk safe this summer, thank you.
