💙🍻 TODAY WE SAY OUR FINAL GOODBYE TO OUR DARLING JAFFER 🍻💙

Today is the day we come together to celebrate the life of our dear friend Jaffer.

Although Jaffer chose a pure cremation, we will be holding a Celebration of Life here at The Ash from 2:00pm onwards, and everyone who knew him is welcome to join us.

❤️ Both the front bar and back room will be open for everyone attending.

🍻 At approximately 4:30pm, we will all stand together and raise a glass to Jaffer.

Please come along, share your memories, have a drink, and help us give him the send-off he deserves.

🍽️ Food will be available, very kindly paid for by Cliff, and the café on the precinct has also generously donated trays of food for everyone attending.

The family have asked for no flowers. Instead, there will be a collection pot on the bar for anyone wishing to make a donation. As Jaffer had a pure cremation, the family’s wish is that any money raised will go towards buying the pub a round of drinks in Jaffer’s memory if enough is collected.

Today is all about Jaffer ❤️

Let’s fill the pub with laughter, stories, memories and a few tears as we celebrate a man who was loved by so many.

❤️ A LITTLE BIT OF AWARENESS TODAY ❤️

A lovely customer came into The Ash today and showed me this ReUnite tag that her husband wears as he lives with dementia.

I’d never seen one before, but I think it’s absolutely brilliant. ❤️

If someone becomes confused or lost, all you need to do is tap your mobile phone against the tag and it brings up emergency contact details so their family can be contacted and they can be helped home safely.

We have customers such as Jim who live with dementia, so I thought this was worth sharing to help raise awareness.

Sometimes a small act of kindness can make a huge difference to someone’s day. ❤️
