🏃♂️ It was great to visit Wolverhampton & Bilston Athletics Club yesterday and learn more about the fantastic work taking place at the Aldersley Leisure Village.
The visit provided an opportunity to meet coaches, athletes and volunteers, and to see how the club continues to support people of all ages through grassroots participation, training and competition.
Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome and for sharing your passion for athletics. Clubs such as these play an important role in encouraging participation in sport and developing talent within our city.

🎉 Congratulations to St Michael's Pre-School in Tettenhall on celebrating its 60th anniversary.
It was wonderful to join staff, children, families and supporters to mark this special milestone and celebrate six decades of providing care, support and learning opportunities for generations of local children.
A special tribute was also paid to Rose, who is retiring this July after an incredible 37 years of dedicated service. Her commitment to the pre-school and the families it has supported over the years is truly remarkable.
Thank you for the warm welcome and hospitality. It was a pleasure to be part of such a special celebration.

I was delighted to attend the official opening of the new library at Tettenhall Wood School and to have the honour of cutting the ribbon to mark this exciting milestone for the school community.
As a specialist autism school, Tettenhall Wood School provides invaluable support to its pupils and this wonderful new library will create even more opportunities for learning, creativity and a love of reading.
It was a pleasure to meet the dedicated staff, parents, families and supporters who helped make this project possible, and I would like to thank everyone for their warm hospitality.
I was also delighted to meet young author Jayce Joyce BCyA, founder of 'Our Stories, Our World', a book written by talented young authors aged 6-10. It was inspiring to hear about the project and see such enthusiasm for reading and writing at a young age.
Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this fantastic new space to life, and best wishes to the school as they begin this exciting new chapter.
