A lead and a prospect are not the same thing.

Most agents treat them as if they are, and it costs them conversions.

A lead is someone who's raised their hand. Downloaded something, registered for an event, clicked an ad. They've shown interest.

A prospect is someone who has been qualified. You know what they need, roughly when, and that you can help them.

Most agents take a lead, call it once, and either convert or file it as dead.
The agents converting at scale know that most leads need to become prospects through a nurture process, one that runs automatically, builds trust over time, and is still showing up on the day that person is ready to move.

The money isn't in the lead. It's in what you do with it after.
