Hi everyone just a quick update from here at Knaves Ash. All is good, the two filly foals by Linda's Lad out of Narla and Detroit Red are thriving, both nice big strong types. They are also the best handled youngsters ever seen at K/Ash as Matt has been in daily and between us we have done lots of work with them. Today was the first time we were able to lead in and out with one in each hand we can also pick up feet without alarm! Our Schiaparelli 3 year old out of Kim Tian Road will come home this week having cantered upsides others and schooled over small jumps nicely. Our 2 year old out Kim is driven in long reins and lunged at Pat and Clare's and they are very pleased with her. Lastly Matt continues his work with F S Lola she is so strong and is now doing some flat work in the sand school supervised by Rachel and will have a lesson this week with Rachel's dressage teacher Nate. This type of work is improving her core strength which will be a big asset on her return to the track. Taking of which we are forming a syndicate to run Lola and are actively looking for folks to come on board. There has been a change to the Mares Only Prize Scheme which has now morphed into the Great British Bonus initiative with massive bonuses doubled to 20k (£13K TO RACING OWNERS!) for winning mares only bumpers, novice hurdles and chases! This is a massive carrot to own and race fillies and only applies to British bred mares/fillies and is in addition to any race prize money won. Basically one win in a qualifying race would cover a seasons expenses. Please give this some thought this mare has proven ability from her bumper runs.We only need a further 7 people to sign up and you don't even part with money to buy the horse we will lease her to the syndicate.
