We are exceptionally fortunate to have access to a ta***ic practice called the Rainbow Body Yoga (RBY), which was given to Amrita Baba from Padmasambhava. Traditionally, the highest yoga teachings were often difficult to access, requiring extensive travel, personal connections, or years of preparation. Today, ordinary people from all walks of life have the opportunity to learn RBY through an affordable online format, making authentic advanced spiritual training available to far more practitioners than ever before.
Already 28 practitioners have attained realization of emptiness through Rainbow Body Yoga. While some had undergone an awakening prior to beginning the practice, most started from an unawakened state and awakened through Amrita Baba’s method known as the Two-Part Formula.
In the Mahāyāna tradition, realization of emptiness (śūnyatā) is regarded as an extraordinarily rare attainment. Classical texts such as the Heart Sutra, Diamond Sutra, and the vast Prajñāpāramitā literature present the direct realization of emptiness as a profound breakthrough that liberates one from the fundamental causes of suffering. Against this traditional backdrop, the results reported by practitioners of Rainbow Body Yoga are especially noteworthy, as they suggest that a clear and effective method can help sincere practitioners progress through the stages of awakening in a direct and systematic way.
As practitioners deepen their training in Rainbow Body Yoga, they can practice with confidence, knowing that the method provides a clear and systematic path toward successive awakenings. Through sustained practice, one gradually learns to recognize the mind’s selfing mechanism with increasing precision, seeing through ever subtler forms of identification. In this way, the process of awakening continues to deepen, culminating in the realization of emptiness itself, a realization that Mahāyāna Buddhism has long regarded as one of the rarest and most precious attainments on the spiritual path.

A heartfelt milestone in our sangha’s journey 🤍
Ordination – May 2026, Switzerland.
Amrita Baba with his ordained students.
Ordained students are close disciples of Baba, united by a deep bond of trust, friendship, and shared commitment. It is like a second family. They hold a special role within the Open Heart Sangha, and in time, some may serve as lineage teachers and carry positions of trust within the community.
The first ordination took place in 2022 in Wales, when Simha Karl Henrik, Mani Monica Olivia, Amrita Uma Gwen Hollis, and me, Amrita Rani stepped forward in deep dedication.
Now, at our Spring Retreat 2026, Helena Sangita Nymark, Bodhi Bob Andersson, Dipa Tiina Wanhala, Silvia Kripa Schüssler, and Bhole Baba James Ferguson were ordained, continuing this living lineage.
I honor their commitment for the sake of all beings and rejoice in this beautiful step on the path. Congratulations to newly ordained dharma brothers and sisters! 🙏🏻
