Got me hair wet

Acrylic painting of me in the sea, fromsometime, a while ago, wanting to swim but sewage warnings put me off putting my face in. Still got me hair wet.

This was the one that made me stop trying to run before I can walk. Portraits take talent. I struggled so badly with likeness (if you’ve got her book you might recognise her), skin tone (looks co**se like), and well her face in general 😆. Lots I like but lots I don’t.

Sat with a cuppa. Talking to one of my kids after school….started copying the image from the front of my pad as we chatted. Turned out far prettier than anything I’d tried really hard at earlier that day. Not enough hours in the day to create recently…despite January being 538 days long…. These birds will forever be known as Felingos in our house…my youngest was obsessed with them long before she could pronounce their name 🦩🦩
