When you pop in to check on a loved one, glance at the kitchen. Is the same glass on the side from yesterday? Is the squash bottle untouched in the cupboard?

Older adults often don't feel thirsty until they're already dehydrated.

A drink within reach of where they sit, not on the kitchen counter. Tea, squash, and soup all count. A glass with each meal turns it into routine rather than reminder. ☺️
