UPDATE FROM THE ORGANISERS OF MOUNTFEST 2021 - 2024

Following on from our post last week about attempts to hijack our community festival by the new lease holders of the Mount Pleasant, we have regrouped and are delighted to announce:

✅ We have a new festival name that no hosting venue can stake claim to on the back of our hard work. Our new community festival will be called SaltStock

✅ We have a new date for the festival which is Sunday 6th of July and will be hosted at the Sportsman on Warminster Road.

✅ In true community spirit, all previous bands that have played at our festival that were approached by the Mount for the new MountFest have politely turned them down in solidarity of our community festival.

✅ The stage, professional sound engineer, food truck, children's entertainment, community partners and ALL the bands have been booked (including the ones that couldn't do the original hijacked date). It's set to be our best festival to date, the quality of the bands are off the scale 🚀we cannot wait!

✅ Gill (previous landlady from the Mount) who we have fondly worked alongside for the past four years hosting our festival has kindly agreed to say a few words to open SaltStock at the Sportsman.

We won't be releasing any names of the bands/artists just yet (for obvious reasons) but it will be another quality afternoon packed full of AMAZING entertainment that you have come to expect from us.

SaltStock will have the same ethos and principles as when we started putting on our community festival back in 2021:

"A festival and family fun day run by a small amount of dedicated volunteers from the local community for the local community"

We are delighted to be partnering with The Sportsman (S8) this year who understand and share our community ethos.

This year, for the first time, we are trialing online ticket sales. We only have a limited amount of tickets available for Mount Fest this Sunday. It's an event that always sells out so be quick! Alternatively, there are a handful of paper tickets available at the Mount.

Mount Fest is a family day of entertainment and fun that takes place in the grounds of The Mount Pleasant Inn on Derbyshire Lane S8 on Sunday 16th of July from 12:30pm to 8pm. The event features seven quality bands playing you all the hits of the decades. In addition, there will be a performance by the fabulous Concord Allstars junior band.

There will also be a circus workshop for the kids!

Food can be purchased from Fat Pig BBQ
