The MOBO-nominated pioneer whose "dark-swing" sound helped lay the foundation for dubstep has over two decades of experience moving from East London underground booths to global headline stages. The former FWD>> resident remains a master of genre-defying performances that shatter stylistic standards.

Known for his "perpetual motion" philosophy, Zed’s massive repertoire spans house, garage, dancehall, dubstep and beyond featuring a prolific catalog of over 200 remixes for icons like Whitney Houston, Disclosure and The Streets. From his timeless UKG anthem "Neighbourhood" to his high-energy 2-step sets, Zed continues to overturn convention and maintain a unique, iconic connection to the dancefloor.

Expect a full-spectrum journey through UK bass from the man who pioneered the sound 30 years ago and is still pushing the boundaries today.

Commonly revered as one of the "Godfathers of Drum & Bass," DJ Grooverider is an architect of the UK underground. Rising to prominence in the late 1980s through illegal raves and his seminal residency at London’s Rage, he was instrumental in the metamorphosis of acid house into jungle and drum & bass. With a career spanning over three decades—including a legendary 14-year run on BBC Radio 1 alongside Fabio and the founding of the influential Prototype label—Grooverider remains a titan of the scene, consistently pushing the boundaries of high-energy, technical dance music.

On April 4th, the pioneer descends upon Plot 22 for an exclusive 90-minute set. In the intimate, raw setting of one of the city's most exciting grassroots venues, expect a masterclass in breakbeat culture that traverses the history and the future of the genre. From the darker, technical edge of his Mysteries of Funk era to the rolling grooves that define the modern global scene, this is a rare opportunity to experience a true legend in a high-voltage, close-quarters environment.

DEADBEAT UK B2B DR CRYPTIC 🔊 A proper Sheffield link-up between two heavyweights of the scene. Expect ribcage-rattling sub-bass and strictly underground energy as these two go head-to-head for a high-intensity b2b session.

KYLA C ⚡️ Bringing those high-energy, bouncy selections to the floor. Kyla C is a staple in the city's bass scene, she comes fresh off the back of a heavyweight set at the legendary Kabal.

HUNGRY LUNGZ ☁️ Multi-genre selecta and dubplate specialist. Known for bringing serious heat to the dancefloor with a blend of 140, 4x4, and jungle. One for the energy kru.

It might be a little late (sorry, we’ve been sleepin’), but it’s been at the forefront of our minds and on our never-ending to-do list to say a huge thank you to everyone who helped make Plot 22 the vibrant, inclusive and diverse space it is throughout 2025 🔥🔥

Last year we brought 61 parties to our community and worked with over 250 DJs, crews and collaborators along the way. This is something we’re seriously proud of.

So, it's a big thanks to everyone on this list and to you all that made it onto the dance floor last year supporting our grassroots space.

Remember, every penny that's been raised through the venue has been reinvested in our social mission to use music and art to support vulnerable adults and young people in our community.
