The Pen*stone Footpath Runners had another strong weekend across a number of events

A special mention for Graihagh Turner who finished 10th place in the Senior Girl's 1500m final at the English Schools' Track and Field Championships in a time of 4-42.89.

As well as for winning the Women's Race and U20s category at the Junior Home International trial in a time of 37-41 placing ninth overall in the combined field

Visitors to Thurgoland recently would have noticed some new residents as Scarecrows began popping up for the sixth year of the village's Scarecrow Trail

The winner Henry VIII won the prize of £50 whilst The Dambusters came second and Thurgoland Colliery came third

Former Sheffield Tigers racer Tai Woffinden has officially announced his retirement from professional racing.

The news comes after the three-time World Champion suffered another setback following a crash in Poland in May
