🚫 Top 5 Networking Mistakes to Avoid

Networking isn’t about being the loudest person in the room. It’s about building genuine relationships.

Here are five mistakes I see people make (and how to avoid them!):

The best networkers ask questions and really listen.

❌ 2. Trying to sell straight away.

People buy from people they know, like and trust. Build the relationship first.

❌ 3. Sticking with the people you already know.

Challenge yourself to introduce yourself to someone new. They might become your next client, supplier or biggest supporter.

❌ 4. Forgetting to follow up.

Meeting someone is just the start. Connect on LinkedIn, Facebook or arrange a coffee.

❌ 5. Thinking networking is only about getting customers.

Some of the best opportunities come from referrals, collaborations, advice and friendships.

Remember… networking is a marathon, not a sprint. Every conversation is planting a seed.
