This summer we’re excited to announce that we’re running not one, but two summer HAFs!

From the 21st July to the 14th August you’ll find us at KFC Youth Foundation, Meath St, Middlesbrough, TS1 4RY, where you can expect fun music games, opportunities to learn new instruments and more!

Then from the 18th to the 28th August we’ll be at our HQ in Redcar (112 High Street, TS10 3DH), where you can record your own song in our recording studio!

A new month means a new word!

Texture descibes the way that sounds are combined and layered in songs. Generally the more instruments in a song, the thicker the texture is.

A song that just features an acoustic guitar and singer could be described as having a thin texture, whilst a heavy metal song with lots of guitars and drums could be described as having a thick texture.

Comparison is the thief of joy! Don’t compare yourself to others, it will only hinder your confidence. Just because someone learned something quicker than you, it doesn’t make them a better musician than you.

Chances are, you can do something that they can’t do!
