If your child struggles with spellings, ask them to say the letter sounds first, then cover and write out two times? ✏️

👀 Get them to look at the word carefully and say out loud the sounds they can hear.
🙈 Then cover it up,
✍️ and write it twice from memory.
✅ Check if it is right - then repeat!

It sounds simple, but it really works - and it only takes a few minutes a day. In fact, it can be more effective than simply reading through a spelling list over and over again.
