Mates Rates Comedy is proud to present Mates Rates Comedy Raw, Reading's No.1 stand up comedy open mic.

The show will take place at The Outlook, RG1 3BJ every Monday between 7:30pm - 9:30pm (door open 7pm).

If you've ever been curious about how stand up comedy is made, wanted to catch a star of the future or just fancied a great night of comedy this show is for you.

Expect big laughs, moments of cringe, revelations... whatever happens it won't be dull!

Walk on Spots

Sign up is between 6:30pm - 7pm. If you arrive late you might not be allocated a spot.
Spots will be allocated on a first come first serve basis
Performers must stick to their time.

George Street Comedy Club will take place at The Wig and Pen, between 8pm - 10pm (doors open 7:30pm).

This week's headliner is Abi Mohanti + support from opener Ryan Mold.

Every Friday 4 circuit acts and a pro-club headliner will take the stage in the loft room at the Wig and Pen.

Expect high drama, big laughs, revelations! It is all happening at George Street Comedy Club with a new lineup each week.

Headliner: Abi Mohanti

Abi is a Berlin based comedian. Born in India, she didn’t go far from the stereotype of being a software engineer. While that fills her pockets, comedy fills the void in her heart. Her comedy is a powerful blend of satire and raw honesty, shedding light on the often-taboo subjects of religious dogma and the psychological scars of a restrictive upbringing. Currently converting childhood trauma into jokes one show at a time, Abi has been performing all over Europe, usually in places where Ryanair goes. She recently won the brutal King Gong at the Comedy Store in London in a desperate attempt to make her parents proud.

Ryan is a regular compère up & down the country, as well as becoming an established act in his own right working up and down the country
2023 is looking like a promising year.

His show, 'The Generation Gap' (a show essentially about growing up with Grandparents) will be debuting at the Edinburgh Fringe in August.
