Mates Rates Comedy will be back in September.

We are launching a new comedy venue at Live at The Pentahotel in September... and in Oxford we are moving to Pegasus Theater!

The next step of our club is the most exciting one yet and we hope you can be part of it. Just remember to apply via the established process if you are a comedian.

There is no George Street Comedy Club this Friday as we ease into the summer break!

George Street Comedy Club is back on Friday July 10 with headliner David Ward.

George Street Comedy Club will take place at The Wig and Pen, between 8pm - 10pm (doors open 7:30pm).

Every Friday 4 circuit acts and a pro-club headliner will take the stage in the loft room at the Wig and Pen.

Expect high drama, big laughs, revelations! It is all happening at George Street Comedy Club with a new lineup each week.

David Ward is in demand as both an MC and headliner in stand up comedy clubs across the UK and Europe. He has supported a number of major TV stand up comedians on tour, including Lee Hurst and Tom Stade.

He is also in demand for his TV warm up work and has performed for the troops in Kuwait and the UAE. His spontaneity made him the choice host for the heats of the BBC’s New Comedy Awards and Channel 5’s So You Think You’re Funny?.

David’s Edinburgh Festival show ‘The Whole Truth and Nothing But…’ was performed to great acclaim, proving his skills as a writer, storyteller and actor in addition to his stand up skills.
