A Waste transfer note is a legal document, completed by either the waste producer, or waste carrier. The majority of WTN's are still completed using the triplicate carbon books and pen. It's not immediate what the risks are to businesses using paper and pen still for key business records, but they are substantial. Companies can be fined and in some instances, Directors receiving criminal sentences over the lack of issuing or storage of WTNs. Are you and your business completing your WTN's with paper and pen?
